What if we had a plan……..

to stabilize the housing market,

to reduce our dependence on foreign oil

to help the environment

to put lots of people back to work

to provide housing for the greater good

to make healthcare more efficient

to improve consumer confidence

and

to help the economy??

Well…we do! Listen to this..

My original idea, from December of 2008, using TARP payback as a partial incentive for banks to employ this program no longer really applies. But if it were used, the housing industry and the economy would not be in the shape it's in. Basically, this can save banks' and the housing industry and the economy's ass. Let's GO, people!! Vacant homes is not a good thing!!

PUSH is a non profit, umbrella, organization specifically organized as a result of the current economic crisis and will be dedicated to the renovation of local and federal government owned vacant foreclosures and even a portion of the bank owned vacant foreclosures and make them available for the greater good.   THIS IS SOMETHING WE CAN ALL UNDERSTAND,... PUSH CAN PUT PEOPLE BACK TO WORK IMMEDIATELY AND HAVE AN IMMEDIATE STABILIZING EFFECT ON THE HOUSING MARKET BY REDUCING SUPPLY OF HOUSES ON THE MARKET.

• Renovate with sustainable materials ((good for the environment))
• Retrofit them with energy efficient systems and appliances and use alternative fuels wherever feasible ((reduce our dependence on foreign oil))
• Make them handicapped accessible ((for elderly and disabled))
• Put thousands of people to work all over the country (( Job creation))
• Purchase materials locally ((stimulating local economies))
• Provide housing to the elderly ((baby boomers are retiring))
• Provide shared homes for elderly and disabled ((lowering healthcare costs))
• Taking some of the inventory of vacant properties off the market will help stabilize the real estate market. ((stop a further decline that  would jeopardize the savings of millions of Americans.))

There are more details to work out but..

we are ready to mobilize teams throughout the country to get this moving. We need a sponsor to bring this to Congress. PUSH is as "shovel ready" as any program can be.

We feel that since the current economic started with housing, the solution will begin with fixing housing first!! This organization is crucial because it speaks to the entire problem, to the standardization of quality and stimulation from the bottom up very quickly.

Hey, maybe we should mandate the car companies to exchange some vehicles for their bailout for PUSH.
